2018 Spring Makeup Trends

I don’t know about you, but there is something about warmer weather and longer days that makes me want to completely switch up my makeup look. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love a full coverage, matte, glam face but once it starts to get warm I’m ready to ditch my full coverage foundation and dramatic lashes. From the “no makeup” look to full out coverage, these spring trends are definitely still glam!

Trend 1: “No makeup” makeup look

This look is all about that glowing complexion. Try mixing a radiant moisturizer like the Melanie Mills Gleam Body Radiance, in with your normal foundation to create a natural glow. This moisturizer is so lightweight that you don’t even feel it on your skin and it won’t clog your pores. Then just add some highlight to your cheekbones and the inner corner of your eyes, give your brows a nice defined shape and add some mascara and you’re good to go! Easy, glowy, and beautiful!

Trend 2: Pastels

Do we really need to say anymore? Every year pastels come back in the spring time. It finally gives people, like myself, who only wear black some inspiration to lighten up our look! It’s something about warmer weather that makes you want to wear alllllll the color, and I’m definitely not mad about it.

Keep your lips nude, either a sheer gloss or nude liquid lipstick, to keep all the focus on your cotton candy eyes. Suva has some of the prettiest shadows and hydra liners. Not only is the color payoff amazing but they blend seamlessly!

Trend 3:  Dramatic Cut-Crease and Liner

The cut-crease has definitely created it’s own wave with the different styles and colors people are using and they’re definitely not going anywhere. Go all glam with glitter, thick liner, and dramatic lashes, or keep it more neutral with a nude lid and a killer wing. Either way you can’t go wrong!

This look is all about blending and shadow placement. You’ll definitely want a fluffy blending brush and a tiny, pointed one to really cut the crease and add definition.

Trend 4:  Bold lips and simple eyes

This look is all about a bright bold lip. I love this look because it takes me literally ten minutes and I’m out the door. Pop on a pair of your favorite fluffy lashes and your favorite liquid lipstick and you’re good to go! I’m a full coverage kind of girl so I’ll add bold brows and some illuminated foundation so I’m still glowing. But hands down this is my favorite trend. Try a coral orange or a hot pink color for your lips to give you a fresh fun look.

LASplash has some of my favorite liquid lipsticks. They last literally all day, they smell amazing, and come in any color imaginable!
